August 28th, 2010 was a historic day for New Jersey Motorsports Park. On this day, the first ever rallycross event on the track was to begin, marking a new chapter in the track’s relatively short history. Some of the best drivers in the game were there to compete, such as Dave Mirra, Travis Pastrana, and of course, Ken Block. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go to the actual race, but I was at the practice the day before, and I can say it was very intense and a very interesting track layout.

Just some more pictures from my trip to the Target Trails in Voorhees, NJ. If you’re ever in South Jersey and you wanna ride trails, this is the place to go.

Here’s a quick video of me failing at life on the Target Trails in Voorhees, NJ. Basically, I was coming over the first jump, and I overshot the landing a bit. So I went to do the second gap and I didn’t have enough speed. Not enough speed + big gap = nose-case. Nose-case + another kid right behind me = pain.

Here’s a photo I took a week ago of my friend Ethan doing a no-footed can-can. I took this at Williamstown Skatepark in NJ. Ethan has a very odd setup on his bike. Instead of having a 25 tooth front sprocket and a 9 tooth rear, he has a 13 tooth rear, and a 25 tooth front. This means he has to pedal ridiculously fast and goes almost nowhere. He gets all that air from pumping!

Glen Purdy holdin’ it down in NJ. Video after the jump. (Video is not mine. I believe Brandon Bermudez shot it, but I’m not sure)
