There is an annual tradition for TougeFactory, a JDM part supplier and shop, to through a huge bash and bbq at the end of each summer. So today, was this years huge meet. As I got to the location, put my lens onto my D40, I turned my camera on and… battery is dead. All I’m thinking to myself is how could have I not charge the battery last night. So without the camera, I was just trolling through the cars and shops today.
The food was great, the prices were awesome, and the cars and people were super dope.

Just a small car meet coupled with an open house an WheelSTO. Great atmosphere, shop, people, and most of all, cars.

Can’t wait until next time.

Just got back from an awesome meet showcasing handfuls of rare and beautiful cars. Most of the cars are from European descent.
Each car had a story, a story that would fascinate everyone who would listen. Here are just three examples of the show.

Abarth Fiat 500

Fiat 500

BMW Isetta 300
More pictures will be added throughout the week.

Is this not one of the best photos you’ve ever seen? I certainly think so, this is the Lancia Delta S4 Group B Rally car doing a pretty cool jump at an unknown rally stage. If anyone knows where this photo was taken then please let me know. For those that don’t know, Group B was a set of regulations for rallying that bred some of the fastest, most insane, dangerous rally cars of all time. Cars regularly exceeded 500bhp and weighed under a tonne. The Lancia pictured above was both turbocharged and supercharged, and was capable of 60mph in under 3 seconds, due to being both supercharged and turbocharged, this car was capable of producing nearly 500bhp from a 1.8 litre engine. Unfortunately, it was the insane performance that lead to the demise of Group B rallying. In the 1986 Tour de Course a Delta S4 similar to the one pictured above left the road and fell into a woodland area, it exploded on impact, it killed both the driver Henri Toivonen and his co-driver. This wasn’t the only fatal crash in Group B, but it is one of the most infamous. This happened a year after driver Attilio Bettega crashed his Lancia 037 and also died. Also in 1986, at the “Lagoa Azul” stage of the Portuguese rally, the Portuguese national champion Joaquim Santos crested a rise to find the road ahead blocked with spectators crowding around to see the fastest cars go by. Santos tried to stop his Ford RS200 but lost control, consequently he plunged into the crowd, 31 people were injured and 3 were killed. All the top teams immediately pulled out and the fate of Group B was in danger. These three incidents, along with the televised accident of F1 driver Marc Surer in another RS200 which killed his co-driver, resulted in the banning of Group B for 1987. Below I have compiled a few videos which showcase Group B at it’s best.
